Area Vice President – Employee Benefits & PEO Advisory
Crawford Thomas Recruiting seeks an Area Vice President to drive new business development across South Florida, advising employers on employee benefits, PEO solutions, HR technology, and payroll infrastructure.
This consultative sales role covers the South Florida territory, requiring the appointed Vice President to prospect and build a long-term book of business across a broad range of workforce solutions. Unlike a traditional PEO or insurance brokerage position, the model allows advisors to recommend the most suitable option for each client, spanning PEO arrangements, open-market benefits, level-funded and self-funded health plans, HR technology, payroll, and property and casualty insurance.
Compensation includes a base salary of $75,000 to $100,000, negotiable based on experience and production history, with commissions on all written business including cross-sold services. Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain a Health and Life Insurance Licence. This is a new business development role, not an account management position.
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, and referral partner development
- Advise employers on PEO solutions, including cost analysis, workers compensation strategies, and HR support options
- Consult on employee benefits structures including fully insured, level-funded, self-funded, and alternative funding arrangements
- Identify and develop cross-selling opportunities across property and casualty insurance, payroll, HR technology, and compliance services
- Manage pipeline activity and opportunity tracking using Zoho CRM, SalesLoft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Build and maintain relationships with CPAs, HR consultants, private equity contacts, and other centres of influence
- Demonstrated track record in consultative sales within employee benefits, PEO, or related workforce solutions
- Current Health and Life Insurance Licence or willingness to obtain one
- Experience with CRM platforms and structured sales activity management
- Ability to prospect independently and develop a referral network across South Florida
- Strong advisory skills with the ability to analyse and compare workforce solutions across multiple funding models
