We're seeking a Legal AI Engineer for a fixed engagement to build foundational legal team AI infrastructure. You'll design and implement these systems, document them thoroughly, and hand them off for internal maintenance and iteration.
Your engagement involves working with a legal team already building AI tooling through Claude. The role combines legal infrastructure with applied AI, requiring a hybrid legal/technical practitioner who can translate legal work into scalable systems. You'll create workflows that are fast, measurable, and safe based on specifications from legal, legal ops, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Connect existing AI workflows and dashboards into shared, maintainable team assets
- Build MCP integrations to enable seamless data flow between systems
- Design workflows that meet legal, ops, and stakeholder requirements
- Document systems and create run books for ongoing maintenance
- Package individual team experiments into robust, shared infrastructure
- Deliver coherent stack of tools and workflows for legal operations
- Hybrid legal and technical background with AI infrastructure experience
- Experience with Claude AI platform and model control protocols
- Strong system documentation and knowledge transfer skills
- Understanding of legal operations and compliance requirements
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Experience building maintainable, scalable systems
