Interim Chief Marketing Officer - Demand Generation & Modern Search

Orpine seeks an Interim CMO to provide decisive leadership during a critical period of transition and transformation. You'll stabilise marketing operations, drive short-term performance improvements, and position the organisation to compete effectively in a rapidly evolving landscape shaped by AI-driven discovery and changing customer behaviour.

This is a builder and operator role, not a caretaker position. You'll step into a lean environment to quickly assess current capabilities, align teams, strengthen demand generation, and modernise marketing practices whilst improving accountability and performance. The engagement lasts approximately six months whilst a permanent leadership search progresses.

• Drive full funnel demand generation strategy to deliver qualified demand and conversion
• Lead modern search strategy across SEO, Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)
• Improve channel performance across paid, organic, and digital channels
• Establish clear operating cadence, priorities, and performance expectations
• Strengthen technical SEO, content architecture, and site performance
• Create accountability across teams and functions whilst improving coordination

• Strong enterprise marketing leadership experience
• Significant B2C and consumer acquisition experience
• Demand generation and digital growth expertise
• SEO/AEO/GEO and AI-driven marketing experience
• Experience operating in lean or transformational environments
• Proven ability to drive performance improvements quickly
