Interim Chief Financial Officer

Highspring partners with a trusted private equity firm seeking an Interim CFO during a critical transition period. This hands-on role requires immediate stabilisation of financial operations, enhanced reporting capabilities, and execution of value-creation initiatives.

The position demands deep government contracting expertise, including CAS compliance and FAR regulations knowledge. You'll work directly with the CEO and PE sponsors to drive EBITDA improvement while ensuring strict regulatory adherence through DCAA audits and incurred cost submissions.

• Partner with CEO and PE sponsors to execute value-creation plans and drive EBITDA improvement initiatives
• Take ownership of monthly and quarterly closing processes, delivering accurate financial statements and dashboards
• Ensure strict adherence to FAR and CAS regulations, overseeing DCAA audits and submissions
• Establish rigorous 13-week cash flow forecasting systems to optimise liquidity management
• Serve as primary liaison with PE firm, managing reporting requirements and board communications
• Mentor existing finance team while stabilising operations during transition

• 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience with 5+ years as CFO in PE-backed government contracting
• Proven track record working with private equity sponsors and delivering 100-day plans
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance requirements
• Exceptional communication skills for board influence and team mentoring
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred
• Available to start within 2 weeks (target start May 18th or 26th)
