Talkdesk is looking for a Director of Value and Strategy Advisory to serve as a strategic resource across the sales organisation, leading business case development and coaching Account Executives on value-based selling.
This part-time advisory role sits within Talkdesk's presales organisation, spanning two distinct modes of engagement. In a coaching capacity, the role builds the value-selling capability of Account Executives across the sales team, helping them develop credible business hypotheses and lead early-stage value conversations independently. In a direct deal capacity, the role takes ownership of the most complex, high-value opportunities, running on-site discovery, constructing rigorous business cases, and presenting directly to C-suite buyers.
The position supports deals primarily across North America, requires deep familiarity with AI and automation value drivers in the customer experience space, and reports to the Vice President of Presales Strategy and Solution Engineering.
- Advise Account Executives on deal structure, stakeholder mapping, and value conversation sequencing to establish favourable evaluation criteria early in the sales cycle
- Coach AEs on using the proprietary business case modelling tool, providing structured feedback to ensure analytic credibility and accurate assumption-setting
- Lead on-site business process discovery at strategic accounts, facilitating workshops and executive interviews to surface operational inefficiencies and cost drivers
- Own end-to-end construction and delivery of formal business cases for priority accounts, building models capable of withstanding CFO-level scrutiny
- Design and deliver executive-level business case presentations to C-suite audiences including CEOs, CFOs, and COOs
- Contribute to repeatable coaching frameworks, value hypothesis templates, and vertical-specific benchmark libraries that lift baseline capability across the sales organisation
- Management consulting or comparable background with exposure to operational transformation, process redesign, or technology-enabled change programmes
- Demonstrated success in Fortune 2000 enterprise B2B sales environments
- Experience identifying and articulating the business value of AI and agentic automation in process improvement and redesign contexts
- Familiarity with contact centre or customer experience workforce economics, cost structures, and AI-enabled automation business cases
- Experience supporting value realisation programmes post-sale, closing the loop between projected and delivered outcomes
